JEDI COUNCIL SHARED DEPARTMENT ADDON — 17 October 2026

Applied locally to Dev_AlexForbes_HR on BRENDANDESKTOP after the user explicitly requested renaming Leia's shared department and confirmed local isolation. Remote dev unchanged.

Authorised change: only dbo.Departmt.Dept_Name for AFORBES/OD5400 now reads Jedi Council People Operations. This one shared description is visible for all6 existing department occupants, including the3 employees outside the original Star Wars team. No extra employees were renamed by this addon. Department code/ID, parent/reporting links, positions, memberships and security remain unchanged. Darth Vader's OF5300 department is outside this change.

The existing native department trigger handles parent/code changes separately; Dept_Name-only does not rebuild hierarchy or initialise department security. Audit triggers remain enabled.16 exact ordered JSON snapshots verify the original department identity and every unaffected column; all6 occupants' employee/personal/user/contact/leave/payroll/history records; department positions and requisitions; global Priv_Dept security; scoped User_Access_To and both payroll queues. Any difference aborts and rolls back. No trigger/configuration was disabled, no queue work cleared or sent, and no email/SMS was created.

The independent private table dbo.__Codex_StarWarsDepartment_20261017 stores this target's original description, full original department row and exact identity inside the database only. No original staff names, contact values or department details are exported here. Backup is captured once and never overwritten on rerun. Unexpected current descriptions or identities fail closed. Restore modifies only the original description and retains audit evidence and the backup table.

Validation: retained Rehearse changed1 description, verified it, restored1 description and rolled back its whole outer transaction. Real Apply changed1 description; the next Apply changed0. All16 exact snapshots passed each direction; existing queues and memberships stayed unchanged.

Set HRF_SQL_CONNECTION_STRING securely in the target process. Runner default is read-only DryRun.
.\Run-JediCouncilDepartment.ps1 -Mode DryRun -ExpectedDatabase Dev_AlexForbes_HR -ExpectedMachine BRENDANDESKTOP
.\Run-JediCouncilDepartment.ps1 -Mode Rehearse -ExpectedDatabase Dev_AlexForbes_HR -ExpectedMachine BRENDANDESKTOP -AllowDemoChanges -IsolationConfirmed
.\Run-JediCouncilDepartment.ps1 -Mode Apply -ExpectedDatabase Dev_AlexForbes_HR -ExpectedMachine BRENDANDESKTOP -AllowDemoChanges -IsolationConfirmed
.\Run-JediCouncilDepartment.ps1 -Mode Verify -ExpectedDatabase Dev_AlexForbes_HR -ExpectedMachine BRENDANDESKTOP
.\Run-JediCouncilDepartment.ps1 -Mode Rollback -ExpectedDatabase Dev_AlexForbes_HR -ExpectedMachine BRENDANDESKTOP -AllowDemoChanges -IsolationConfirmed

For dev replay provide that target's exact expected database/machine and secure connection string, and confirm target isolation. Composite keys resolve local IDs; no local before-values are transported. Runner explicitly selects only named.sql scripts. Keep this package outside application/release trees. A fresh sign-in or page reload may be needed to refresh cached department labels. Historical Occ_Hist descriptions remain unchanged by design.

Identifier-bracketing verification: Passed across 4/4 SQL files.
