Add videos to each topic

Place each new video in the topic's source folder below. Keep earlier versions and use a descriptive, versioned file name.

Where to put your videos

These are the folders scanned by the content-library updater. Add the finished MP4, WebM or MOV file; MP4 matches the current Hub videos. Multiple videos per topic are supported. Add the audience or purpose to the name, for example Learning_Manager_Approvals_v2.mp4.

After you add a video

  1. Refresh the content inventory with the maintained command below. The updater discovers every video in 10_Videos.
  2. New or changed files appear as Review required. Review the video, record its exact SHA-256 clearance in Content_Library_Curation.json, and refresh again to publish approved downloads.
  3. Local playback for a held/review-required video also needs its separate exact-hash entry in Content_Library_Curation.json with allowLocalVideoPreview: true. Existing permissions are retained; placing a file in a folder does not grant clearance.
  4. Open Videos, choose the topic and verify playback. Clear the Edition filter to see earlier editions.

For a single topic, append --module Learning_Workspace (use its folder name). Source files stay in the source folders; the updater maintains the website copies.

Developer and technical training

The older resource catalogue has separate folders under Z:\Support Solutions\Development Resources Hub\03 Videos\Developer Training, Product Walkthroughs and Technical Support. These require a resource-catalogue entry and are maintained separately. For videos alongside the topic presentations and manuals, use the topic folders above.
